Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

‍The short version:

We build brands that earn fans — not shady data practices. We collect only what we need to reply to you, send the occasional email you actually asked for, and keep the site running. We don't sell your data. We never have, and we're not about to start. The full, careful version is below.

Who we are

Kindle Point Inc. ("Kindle Point," "we," "us," or "our") is a brand strategy studio based in the Chicago area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through kindlepoint.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email us anytime at kevin.gilsdorf@kindlepoint.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, book a call, or sign up for our newsletter, you may share things like your name, email address, company, website, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project. You give us this on purpose, and we treat it that way.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and the tools that power it automatically collect some technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you found us. This happens through cookies and similar technologies (more on those below).

Scheduling a call. If you book a call with us, our scheduling tool collects your name, email, and meeting details so we can actually show up.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and provide our services;

  • send you the newsletter or updates you signed up for (and nothing you didn't);

  • understand how people use the Site so we can make it better;

  • keep the Site secure and running; and

  • comply with our legal obligations.

‍We keep your information only as long as we need it for these purposes, or as the law requires — then it goes.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files that help the Site remember you and understand traffic. We use them to run the Site and to measure basic analytics. You can control cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings. Turning some off may make parts of the Site work less smoothly — but that's your call to make, not ours.

How we share information

We'll be blunt, because it matters: we do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the studio, and only so they can do that job. These include:

  • Squarespace, which hosts our Site and stores contact-form and newsletter submissions;

  • Calendly, which powers call scheduling;

  • Analytics providers (such as Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics), which help us understand Site traffic; and

  • Email tools we may use to manage and send our newsletter.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. Each of these providers maintains its own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can always:

  • Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email, or by emailing us; and

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request that we correct or delete it.

‍Just email kevin.gilsdorf@kindlepoint.com and we'll take care of it.

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK: You have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal basis for processing is generally your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) or our legitimate interest in operating and promoting our studio. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you're in California: Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete or correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

‍To exercise any of these rights, email us and we'll verify your request and respond as the law requires.

‍Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (like Squarespace) with their own security measures. That said, no method of transmitting data over the internet is 100% secure — so we can't promise perfection, only that we take it seriously.

‍International visitors

We're based in the United States, and our providers may store and process your information here. If you visit from outside the U.S., you're entrusting your information to a U.S.-based studio, and the applicable privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.

Children's privacy

Our Site is built for grown-up businesses and the people who run them. It isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, let us know and we'll delete it.

‍Links to other sites

Our Site links out to places like LinkedIn, our clients' work, and our KP Labs art store on Redbubble. Once you leave kindlepoint.com, the privacy policies of those sites take over. Any purchase you make through Redbubble is handled entirely by Redbubble under its own terms and privacy policy — we're not responsible for how other sites handle your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date above, and we'll give a more visible heads-up for significant changes.
