Centers For Disease Control | VERB Branding & Campaign Leadership
Role: Creative Director/Designer, Frankel (Now Arcww)
The Solution: Kevin Gilsdorf designed the original VERB® logo and led the creation of brand guidelines for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, helping launch one of the agency’s most successful youth health campaigns. Designed to inspire physical activity among children nationwide, VERB® set a new standard for public health branding and engagement.
The Results: As part of the CDC’s 75-year anniversary, VERB® was selected for inclusion in the David J. Sencer CDC Museum as one of the agency’s most impactful campaigns—recognizing its enduring influence on public health marketing and behavior-change design. The brand gained 85% awareness in the U.S. by year one.
